This contract is to remove, repair and reinstall storm drain water pumps. Service request will be on a routine, emergency, or an as-needed, on-call basis. The pumps are located at lift stations within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. The pumps remove storm water from the freeways. In some instances the contractor may be requested to provide and install an auxiliary portable pump while the damaged pump is being replaced. The contractor will be required to perform repairs on the pumps at its facility. The contractor shall possess the following licenses: C-10 Electrical Contractor and D-21 Machinery and Pumps. The following bonds are required: at time of bid submittal, a bid bond is required; at time of award, payment and performance bonds will be required. The following insurance will be required at time of award: 1) Commercial General Liability: Not less than $1,000,000.00 per ocurrence for bodily injury and property damage liability combined; 2) Automobile liability: Not less than $1,000,000.00 per accident; 3) Workers' Compensation: $1,000,000.00 per incident. The Small Business preference will be granted on this Invitation for Bid. DVBE goals are required for this contract. Payment of prevailing wages is required for this contract.
